On June 16, 2015, Robert Glenn Dillard called me and gave me this information about his service.
Robert Glenn Dillard said he was not related to Harold Dillard, the Vietnam veteran, they just happened to have the same last name. Robert Glenn Dillard said he went to Hackensack High School from 1952 graduating in 1955 and he played baseball.
He started his service in the Navy on October 13, 1955 and served till
November 4, 1959. Robert Glenn Dillard was an Aviation Electrician mate 2nd class. From 1956 to 1958 he was stationed at the Naval Station in Trinidad and from 1958 to 1959 he was with VW-4 Hurricane Hunters Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Florida.
Upon his discharge between major conflicts, Robert Glenn Dillard received the
Good Conduct Medal.
